Author Interaction Program Organized at Jalindarnagar School

At the Jalindarnagar school in Kendur (Tal. Khed), an initiative titled “Author Meets Students” was organized. As part of this initiative, renowned poet and author Manohar Mohre guided the students on the art and techniques of writing poetry and stories. He explained the elements of writing poetry and stories in an engaging way.

This program was conceptualized by Kalpana Tarkase, Center Head of Kendur Center, under the guidance of Headmaster Sandip Shingade, Rashtriya Abhiyan Head Anant Dandekar, and Yogesh Pawar. During the event, Manohar Mohre was felicitated by the school and delivered an engaging session explaining techniques of poetry writing. He inspired students to express themselves through writing, encouraging them to write creatively and enjoyably. He also provided valuable guidance on story writing.

Mohre encouraged students to read, think, and develop a habit of journaling daily. He motivated them to craft poems using three to four lines based on their thoughts and surroundings. He emphasized choosing topics close to one’s experiences and feelings.

He praised the various creative initiatives of Jalindarnagar School such as children’s parliament, gym, art gallery, robotics, film making, and Japanese language learning. Mohre also shared information on these activities with the children. The concepts of self-study, self-discipline, creativity, and personality development were explained by him in simple terms.

During the program, school principal Sandip Shingade shared insights into the school's special initiative titled "Our School, Our Declaration", through which students draft and follow rules themselves. Mohre appreciated this model highly.

He concluded by stating that the students were truly creative and had immense potential. He urged them to continue expressing themselves through art, literature, and writing. As a token of appreciation, he also donated his poetry collections and storybooks to the school library.

Visit of State Education Commissioner to Jalindarnagar School

The Jalindarnagar Zilla Parishad School in Khed taluka received a visit from Maharashtra State Education Commissioner Pratapsingh and Rahul Rekhawar, Director of Pune-based SMYAT organization.

The Jalindarnagar School is widely known for its experimental and creative educational initiatives. The visiting officials interacted with the students and teachers to understand these innovative practices firsthand.

Education Commissioner Pratapsingh and Director Rahul Rekhawar praised the school’s efforts and extended congratulations to the school administration. They expressed appreciation for how the school fosters rural students and empowers them to build strong futures.

They also discussed how the Jalindarnagar School has become a model for innovative education in rural areas, and emphasized that such experiments should be studied and implemented in other schools.

During the visit, Sandip Shingade, school principal, and Yogesh Pawar, school coordinator, presented a detailed overview of the school’s educational structure and practices.

The school follows National Education Policy (NEP)-based themes such as:

  • Skill development,

  • Multilingual education,

  • Spiritual learning,

  • Cultural growth,

  • Robotics,

  • Farming techniques,

  • Performing and visual arts.

The Education Commissioner praised the school for implementing NEP in a true spirit and said it was a model worthy of state-level recognition.
